How Does Coaching Work?

I coach in person or by phone, one on one or in groups, during weekly appointments or on an as needed basis.  You and I establish a schedule that meets the your needs and addresses the work to be done. I typically coach in 30-45 minute phone sessions at pre-established weekly appointments. You may use the session to move along the personal, spiritual, and/or career path you have chosen, toward the vision you have established, or to address specific issues that may be going on for you.  I also coach groups, enabling members to use the support and wisdom of others to achieve their goals.  Because most of my coaching is done over the phone, I am able to work with clients from all over the world.

I also offer coaching services to organizations, and companies that want to use the power of coaching to create a stronger identity, develop their competitive advantage, strategize solving old and new problems and move in new directions.

What to Look for in a Coach?

When selecting a coach, find someone with whom you can relate.  You and your coach are partners collaborating in your achievement.  You want someone you can trust, someone who has the courage to challenge you and the compassion to support you.  I offer a free consultation or introductory session. This introductory session gives you the opportunity to accomplish three things: establish if my style fits your needs and style, if my approach works for you, and whether the partnership will achieve the results you desire. Coaches come in many styles, backgrounds and prices. Call me to set up an interview (225) 278-6888.  I recommend clients interview at least three coaches to find one you can work with successfully. On-line referral sources are at http://www.coachu.com/ and www.coachfederation.org listing biographical information for hundreds of coaches.

How Much do Coaching Services Cost?

Most individual coaching runs between $200-$500 per month for one half-hour call per week. Executive coaching, just in time coaching, and group coaching rates vary depending on the time and type of expertise needed from the coach. That works out to an hourly rate of between $100-$150, with corporate coaching and special programs often running between $1,000-$15,000 per month.
